1 - Manual submission is unnecessary: A few years ago, submitting your site to Yahoo or Google was beneficial in SEO. This is no longer necessary as search engine spiders are now configured to automatically find your site through relevant keywords and links.
2 - When you’re, you’re in: Once your site is indexed into a search engine database, it will remain there unless you happen to get banned for one reason or another.
3 - Link popularity works: Links are one of the most essential factors of SEO. Similar to keywords, links going to and from your site should be relevant to your content.
4 - Title tags are important: Whenever possible, keywords should be fused into the title tags of your pages. This is what will be displayed in the results page of a search engine.
5 - SEO isn’t everything: Some get so enthralled in SEO that they actually forget about the base of their business. During your campaign, continue to market your site and focus on making sales.
